Day 6

Ok well we went around San Antonio yesterday and explored. We went and saw and walked through the Alamo which was pretty interesting. There is a whole lot of history there. Took some pictures but haven't loaded them yet. Then we went down the riverwalk which is basically a little river that runs through town with a whole bunch of restaurants, shops, bars, and hotels all along it. They also have little water taxi things that run up and down it. Its definitely the big tourist area. Went back there for dinner last night and ate at a bbq place called County Line. It was really good. Not the best I've ever had but still really good. Was a little different to have bbq beef though.

Ahhh yes. Welcome to texas where pigs have nothing to do with q... I'd be willing to say that it's much more difficult to smoke a whole cow too, though I'm sure Joe could figure a way to put on on his grill.

I'm playing catch up as I'm now back in town. I must comment on you guys being without your beloved GPS for 2 lousy days. So you had to purchase a city map and locate places on a grid etc. There are some of us that had to use paper maps to get ANYWHERE! Your biggest challenge was probably learning how to fold one. I would have liked to have been a fly on the wall. Boy, are you guys SOFT! Dad

We did ok with the map after we figured out where we were on it to begin with. Similar to looking a a map of Atlanta and saying "well we are somewhere just inside the perimeter." Oh and they added a second deck to the interstate, which isn't on the map, and the exits are different and or missing depending on level. Good times for sure.
